Couldn't load pickup availability
Here's the current Pumpkin situation:
October 22 -
The post office is estimating the Pumpkins will arrive to my place Saturday evening, so I expect to put them up on Sunday afternoon.
October 19 -
Still on track. Production is almost finished, and v1.0 should be available sometime this week. v1.1 is likely to to be available the week of November 3rd.
October 17 -
LEDs have arrived! Starting to produce v1.0.
October 13 -
LEDs are still set to arrive the 17th. v1.0 still on track for the week of October 20th. I also placed the order for v1.1 PCBs. If all goes well I should be able to assemble these by November 3rd.
October 10 -
I'm waiting on LEDs to arrive before making v1.0. I'm expecting to get them by around October 17th, which would mean I will have Pumpkins back in stock the week of October 20th. If you would like Pumpkins without LEDs, I have all the parts and can get those to you much sooner.
It's the easiest way to wire your keyboard. Save hours of wiring and soldering and save the frustration with a PCB that gives you hotswap sockets, diodes, RGB LEDs, and flexible connections between every key. Compared to even the Plum Twists, the Pumpkins are a giant step up in terms of speed and accessibility.
More info on the landing page and the documentation. The Pumpkin Patch PCB plugs directly into Lemon Microcontrollers, so I recommend you buy them together for the easiest wiring. You can alternatively connect them to any microcontroller with a Skree Translator. They only support MX switches (I will release a Choc version later).
You will need one Pumpkin Patch per microcontroller. As shown in the docs you will need to solder one jumper per column you cut so that the LEDs are routed correctly. If you don't have a soldering iron, email me your configuration URL and order number after placing your order and I will solder them for you according to how the fit checking site shows.
I also sell the Pumpkin Vines to use alongside these to wire your thumb cluster, but for many keyboards the Pumpkin Patch will cover everything, include the thumb cluster! Check the handy fit checking site to see if the PCB will cover everything in your custom keyboard.
I currently sell these in one variant with RGB LEDs, diodes, and hotswap sockets. If you don't want to use the LEDs, you don't have to use them :) The Lemon microcontrollers have built-in relays to shut off LED power when they aren't used, or if you're using the translator you can leave VCC disconnected to stop the LEDs from drawing power when idle.
